General Lift Advice That Is Helpful To Know.

Lifts are excellent machines that have stood the test of time, ever since their invention they have only been getting better.

Of course, lifts still go wrong but we know how to fix them and we are more aware of faults. Lifts are way safer than they once were, with a ton of safety features to ensure all rides go smoothly.

In fact they are statistically the safest way to travel, so remember that the next time that one movie has you scared of lifts.

Just to put your mind at ease further too, they do not plummet to the ground. Like cars, lifts have brakes to prevent falling.

Here is some general lift advice that is useful to know:

Do not overload your lift – Display the maximum people and weight limit (or just weight if its a goods lift). Overloaded lifts contribute to a significant amount of breakdowns and can also cause poor performance, so ensuring lifts are not overloaded is important.

Check your lift regularly – Checking your lift regularly is a great way to spot any defects and get them fixed. If you notice anything unusual, get in contact with your service provider.

Clean the lift doors often – Lifts can get dirty, especially between the lift doors. When checking your lift, look for dirt, leaves and other things that may be stuck in the doors.

Note certain factors – Monitor the lifts age, usage, how its used and other things. If your lift is over 15 years old and regularly has problems, then it may be time for a lift modernisation.
