Ascendant News – First Aid Friday

This week, we’re celebrating another success story straight from our Stockport office.

The fantastic Stephen and Liz from our North West office have both successfully completed their Emergency First Aid at Work courses.

First aid training is crucial for a workplace and the benefits are certainly self-evident. The UK might have one of the best workplace health and safety records in the world, but that doesn’t imply it is accident-free. Every year, 147 workers die at work, and more than 581,000 sustain an injury according to the Health and Safety Executive. The total cost to businesses and the broader economy is an estimated £15 billion, thanks to the more than 28.2 million working days lost annually. There is, therefore, a tremendous need for workplaces to train their people in first aid.

Here are just a few of the benefits..

– First-aid training reduces recovery time as an injured person will receive rapid aid.

– Providing immediate aid could stop injuries from becoming critical and saves lives.

-Employees will feel safer at the workplace knowing competent first-aiders are readily available.

As you know, here at Ascendant we are on the ball with our health and safety and keeping up to date with the legislations and laws, so we are very pleased to announce another training success story! Well done Stephen and Liz.
